Thank you for listening everyday and especially today on World Radio Day.
February 13 was chosen as that was the day in 1946 when the United Nations Radio was established.
I grew up listening to the radio and although I am on the air, I am still an avid listener everyday.
I was listening to the radio when I heard about John Lennon. Before that I had my transistor radio with me listening to the Blue Jays game while delivering the paper. It remains our first go to when we want local news, weather, traffic or just to be connected with someone.
Many rely on radio for company. We all have different reasons for listening everyday and we are very grateful that choose to spend part of your day with us.
Happy Radio Day.
