What’s Open And Closed Labour Day

The following locations will in general be closed on Labour Day Monday with very few exceptions:

 

All City Hall or Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday.

 

Public Libraries will be closed on Monday.

 

LCBO locations will be closed on Monday.

 

Malls and Shopping centres will primarily be closed on Monday.

 

In Hamilton region:

 

HSR Buses and DARTS will be on a Sunday/Holiday Schedule.

 

Royal Botanical Gardens will be open.

 

Waste Collection sites will be closed.

 

Recreation Centres will be closed.

 

Senior Clubs and Centres will be closed.

 

Museums will be closed.

 

In the Kitchener-Waterloo Cambridge region:

 

There is regular curbside collection on Monday.

 

Grand River Transit will be operating on a Sunday schedule on Monday.

 

Waterloo Region Museum — Open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Waste Collection sites will be closed.

 

Sunnyside Home reception and administration will be closed.

 

Sunnyside Wellness Centre will be closed.

 

McDougall Cottage Historic Site closed.

 

The Aud & arenas will be closed Saturday through Monday, including the box office.

 

Albert McCormick Community Centre will be closed.

 

Moses Springer Community Centre will be closed.

 

The Adult Recreation Centre will be closed.

 

Cambridge Centre for the Arts will be closed.

 

All Idea Exchange locations will be closed.

 

Hespeler Memorial Arena will be closed.

 

Galt Arena Gardens will be closed.

 

Duncan McIntosh Arena will be closed.

 

Preston Auditorium will be closed.

 

Karl Homuth Arena will be closed.

 

Dickson Centre will be closed.

 

The David Durward Centre, William E. Pautler Centre and Allan Reuter Centre will be closed Saturday through Monday. However, adult day programs will continue to run at Allan Reuter Centre.

 

In Brantford:

 

Brantford Transit will not be running.

 

Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre will be closed.

 

Landfill sites will be open.

 

Earl Haig Park closes at the end of the day.

 

Niagara Region:

 

Lion Dunc Schooley Pool in Merritton is open this weekend. It will close for the season on Monday at dusk.

 

Splash pads: Bogart Street Park, Catherine Street Park, Pearson Park and West Park splash pads are open daily 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the end of September.

 

Lakeside Park Carousel: Open daily 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Starting Tuesday, it will be open on weekends only until Oct. 8.

 

Morningstar Mill: The heritage site at Decew Falls is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre: Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

St. Catharines Transit will operate on a holiday schedule and return to its regular schedule on Tuesday.
