Since Canada Day falls on a Sunday this year, Monday is the stat holiday. So here is a look at what will be open and closed on July 1st and July 2nd.
Government Offices will be closed on July 2nd.
The Beer Store and LCBO will be open on Sunday but closed Monday.
GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday, while the TTC, HSR, Oakville Transit and Burlington Transit will operate on a holiday schedule. Grand River Transit will be running a Sunday schedule on Monday, July 2.
There is no change in garbage collection in Hamilton or the Niagara region, or Waterloo region though items must be out by 7 am. Waste collection in Halton will be pushed one day later for this week. There will be no waste collection in Guelph on Monday.
All public libraries will be closed Sunday and Monday.
Canada Post offices will be closed Monday, July 2nd.
Most malls, banks, and retail businesses will be closed on Monday. Call ahead before you head out.
All Hamilton civic museums will be closed Monday.
Senior centres, outdoor pools, and splash pads will be open. Many indoor pools will be closed Sunday July 1st and reopened for Monday July 2nd.
Recreation centres will be on modified hours and programs.
In Toronto many large attractions such as the CN Tower, ROM, Ontario Science Centre, and the Toronto Zoo will be open all weekend.
