Shinerama is Canada’s largest college and university fundraiser that raises money for Cystic Fibrosis research and treatment. Cystic Fibrosis is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. At present, there is no cure. CF causes various effects on the body, but mainly affects the digestive system and lungs.
Every year more than 35,000 students from across the country go out and raise funds by shining cars, holding BBQ’s and many other fundraising activities. In Brantford you can find Laurier students ( in purple and gold) washing cars today (Saturday) till 2:30 at Wacky Wings and Shoeless Joes (both on King George Road, Cora’s restaurant on Henry Street, and at FreshCo on Market Street South. Get your ride shined up for a good cause!
