2. Brantford: Candlelight Christmas Celebration. Dressed for the Christmas season in traditional Victorian style, the Bell Homestead comes to life amid the glow of candles and oil lamps on the first two Saturdays in December. Both evenings feature entertaining tours of the Homestead and Henderson Home by students of local schools, dressed in their finest 19th century attire. The drawing room is the place to be to hear the seasonal sounds of Brantford’s own celtic duo, Cymer on December 1st. A traditional Christmas dinner will be served both evenings at the Exchange Cafe, featuring delicious roast turkey, dressing, and all the fixings. Saturday 5-8PM Bell Homestead. 3. Simcoe: Festival of Lights – 60th anniversary! Thousands of lights and themed displays transform Simcoe’s downtown parks into a winter wonderland. Stroll the parkland at your leisure or step aboard one of the horse-drawn trolleys. There is lots to see and do, and you wont want to miss a thing so please check the schedule of events listing here (Saturday is kickoff night)

4. Burlington: John McDermott Christmas. Famed tenor John McDermott continues to enchant audiences with his beautiful voice, festive holiday renditions, and tasteful remembrance tributes. Joining John for this memorable performance will be special guests Dala. Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine of Dala write and sing in harmony best described as angelic. Don’t miss this perfect festive outing for families and friends! Sunday 7PM Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

5. Niagara Falls: Jump, Jive and Jingle. Be transported back to the 1950s as six strangers become stranded in a diner on Christmas Eve. With a little Christmas magic and some help from above, these serious and busy patrons find themselves in the simpler times of sock hops, juke boxes and soda jerks. Enjoy original festive songs and over 30 classic holiday carols as they get the rock n’ roll twist. Saturday and Sunday 6:30PM Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Theatre.
