It’s the Easter Long Weekend and as it continues on there are a number of closures for Easter Sunday, April 21st, and Easter Monday, April 22nd, that you should know about.
Firstly, most regions will have their curbside collection as normal next week including on Easter Monday, though waste management sites will be closed for residential drop off.
That being said, you will find that All Regional and City administrative offices, aside from Waterloo city hall, will be closed on Easter Monday.
Most Transit will be running regular hours on Easter Monday.
All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed on Easter Sunday, select LCBO locations and the Beer Store will be open on Easter Monday.
Most banks will be closed on Easter Sunday.
All Kitchener, Waterloo, Hamilton, and Brantford Public Library branches will be closed Sunday and Monday. Burlington and Niagara Falls Public Library branches are closed Sunday, but open Monday.
Most tourist attractions will be open the rest of the weekend through you may find local art galleries are closed on Easter Monday.
Many arenas will be open on Easter Sunday but closed on Easter Monday; though some will be the reverse.
The Lynden Park Mall, Lime Ridge Mall, as well as most shopping centres will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Most stores will be closed on Easter Sunday with many having adjusted hours on Easter Monday, and as with everything else that might be open it is still best to call ahead before running out over the weekend.
