Lunchtime Trivia For Friday July 20

Your Lunchtime Trivia question Today had you thinking of the home and what or who you might find there.

Question: Between 2014 and 2016 the number of these in our homes increased by 15-20%.  In the past 10 years the growth has averaged 10%.  Today just under half of Canadian homes has at least one.  What are they?

The answer had a few look at their feet as they came up with it.

Answer: Pets

“From 2014 to 2016, cat and dog populations in Canada have risen. Cats continued to outnumber dogs with 8.8 million cats considered household pets in 2016, up from an estimated 7.0 million in 2014. Dog population figures for 2016 also increased to 7.6 million in 2016, up from 6.4 million in 2014.

Overall approximately 41% of Canadian households include at least one dog,”
