1) Elmira: Maple Syrup Festival. It’s the biggest one day Maple Syrup Festival, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. On April 10, 1965, Elmira celebrated its first Maple Syrup Festival. 10,000 people made their way to Elmira that first year to savour the sweet taste of spring! Come out and explore the Sugar Bush!  Visit Old MacDonald’s Farm! See the animals, go for a pony ride, and find your way through the straw maze. Devour some Pancakes! 2) Paris: 46th Annual Gem and Mineral Show. The feature of the show is “It’s Easy To Be Green!” showcasing displays and information about green rocks and minerals such as malachite and fluorite. Admission: $5.00, 12 years & under free. Free parking, wheelchair accessible, hot lunch available in the on-site food court. Kids’ activities: mine for gems, I dig fossil fish, 3D sandbox. 3) Simcoe: Eat and Drink Norfolk. Check out Norfolk County’s best restaurants, wineries, breweries and food producers all under one roof for 3 days! Live musical entertainment all weekend! 4) Fergus: Annual Tartan Day. In partnership with the Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games, the Fergus BIA, downtown pubs, restaurants and merchants have joined forces to help celebrate our Celtic roots. Join the kilted krawl and let the pipers parade you to all our pubs celebrating en route. Walking tours, activities for kids such as Archery, Outdoor Curling and the McHeavies! 5) Guelph: Legends of Motown. Legends of Motown is a 16-piece cast of singers and musicians performing live look-a-like/sound-a-like tributes to The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Jackson 5, Martha and The Vandellas and more and features all your favourite songs of the Motown era.
