A Canadian music legend, lead singer of Streetheart, Kenny Shields has passed at age 69. He had been in a Winnipeg hospital where he was undergoing cardiac surgery, according to band mate and close friend Jeff Neill. Shields’ wife and daughter were with him when he died at 3 am. Friday July 21st.
Streetheart had planned a cross country tour this summer as part of the bands 40th anniversary celebrations but it was cancelled earlier this month when Shields fell ill.
Family and friends are not the only one who will miss that voice. Famous fans also expressed their condolences;
