The International Villages Festival got under way last night and so did my adventure. Normally I have the company of my partner on this tour of the world but she is off in Halifax this summer and so I decided to begin my experience in the Atlantic Canada Village.
They had a fun down east menu ready for everyone when they came in and on display on the tables in-case you got hungry after you sat down.
There was also an interesting process for how to have your food delivered to you! Colourful fish marked your order so the servers could find you at which ever table you sat down.
And of course while you are at your table you can sit and enjoy the company and the nearly constant stream of music and east coast banter delivered by the band.
After Atlantic Canada I made my way, not far, down to the Polish Warszawa Village.
Where there was a buffet of delicious food like pierogies, cabbage rolls, and meatballs.
The entertainment seemed to be a mix of guest performers, doing song and dance and scenes, it was different from last year but entertaining.
That was the end of my first night of Villages but left me hungry for more and luckily there are still three more nights to go! Villages are open Thursday night from 5 until 10:30.
