Heavy Rain Floods Parts Of Hamilton And Dundas

It was a wet windy wild night and Hamilton and Dundas seemed to bear the brunt of the record breaking rainfall.  Rivers and streams are still running very high and fast and people are asked to be cautious around all waterways.

“According to Environment Canada, Hamilton received 50.6mm of rainfall yesterday, which breaks the record of 32.5mm from April 20 2000.Dundas was hit quite hard last night.  Plenty of homes in that area saw flooded basements and the parking lot of Tim Hortons on York Road and Cootes Drive completely flooded, leaving many people stranded.”  CHCH.com
