Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Sunday, June 17th, and Monday, June 18th, due to high humidex expected for both days. If you are going to be outside Today it is recommended that you take frequent breaks for shade and to cool down with AC or a cool drink/treat. If you these are not readily available to you find where one is; a public swimming space, splash pad, or anywhere you can take a break.

- Kitchener – Cambridge – Region of Waterloo
- Brantford – County of Brant
- City of Hamilton
- Burlington – Oakville
- Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region
- St. Catharines – Grimsby – Northern Niagara Region
Humidex values reaching 40 are expected.
Hot and humid today and Monday.
High temperatures are expected to reach the low thirties today and Monday with peak humidex values near 40. Also, low temperatures tonight will only drop to the low twenties offering little relief from the heat.
A cold front will cross Southern Ontario Monday night ending the heat event.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
