  1. Hamilton: Steel City Jazz Fest! Celebrating its fifth year! New this year: back to a one-weekend format with a packed line-up, a brand new show at Mills Hardware, and a much more robust speaker series including a panel discussion on jazz in Hamilton on October 29th.   2. Brantford: Halloween Fun Fair! This family-friendly outdoor event will captivate the most excited trick or treaters.  Come in costume or just as you are and try your hand at fun and challenging Hallowe’en fair games, including Mummy Bowling, Quidditch Croquet, and Three Coins in the Potion just to name a few.  The Bell Homestead’s resident fortune teller will look deep into her crystal ball to tell you what’s in your future.  Take a pony and wagon ride around the beautiful grounds. Sunday: 12PM-3PM http://bit.ly/2y3NF7W (scroll down)
  3. Kitchener: Pinocchio! Born from a talking piece of wood carved by the old Geppetto, the rebellious, cheeky and careless Pinocchio discovers the meaning of growing up through a thousand trials. To become a real boy, he will have to face Mangiafuoco, the terrible Puppet Master, suffer the malice of the Fox and his sidekick, the Cat, escape from Toyland and save his father from the belly of the giant fish!   4. Burlington: Spooktacular Halloween! During the month of October Mountsberg undergoes a ghoulish transformation! Youngsters 5 and up will love the spooky Haunted Barn. Now; if you dare, find the skeletons’ tea party or climb to the deck of the haunted pirate ship! This event also features live snake presentations and Bird of Prey Presentations – featuring Vultures and Owls. Wear a costume and receive a free hot drink in the shop.   5. Hamilton: Mum’s Show. (last two days) Lots to see and do at the 2017 show themed “Under the Big Top” . The Greatest Show on Earth features over 75,000 blooms and 200 varieties of chrysanthemums. Daily workshops, entertainment and activities are included with admission. Drop by the on-site café for daily lunch and dinner specials, plan a guided group tour or attend one of our special events.
