If you’re concerned about the amount of snow that fell over the holidays and think it might have interfered with your plans be glad you’re not in Erie PA! They had a record breaking amount of snow, more than 157 cm since December 23rd, over 58 inches on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
That broke the city’s single day snowfall record, which was previously 20 inches set in 1956, it’s now 34 inches set on Christmas Day 2017.

The amount of snow that fell prompted the city of Erie to declare a state of emergency on Dec. 26th and there is more snow on the way.
