A Couple of Great Tribute Bands Are Performing This Weekend! and Halloween Fun Too!

1. Burlington: A Tribute to David Bowie. The year is 1983, and Bowie just released his most commercially successful album to date, “Let’s Dance”. With a 10-piece band behind him, he’s ready to embark on what will become his most commercially successful tour to date, as well. The stage is set for Serious Moonlight. Starring international tribute performer Jeremy Wright, this show pays authentic tribute to that 1983 tour of the same name, with a set list augmented to include some of Bowie’s biggest hits. 2. Kitchener Waterloo: Central Artwalk. Dont’ miss this yearly studio tour and sale in the beautiful Kitchener neighbourhoods bounded by Park, Victoria, Weber, and Union streets. Come visit, and get a chance to see artists in their own studios, displaying fine art, jewelry, paintings, food, photography, pottery, glass, collage and fibre arts. This year we are celebrating 11 years of success as one of the Regions most anticipated Arts & Culture Events. 3. Rockton: Pumpkin Sunday at Westfield Heritage Village.  Are you looking for a fun day out in the country with your family and friends? Stop by on Sunday! Families can work together on a pumpkin-themed craft in the one room log schoolhouse, visit a log home and learn how pumpkins were used in pioneer farmhouses, and see what’s cooking in a Victorian home. The kids will enjoy traditional pumpkin-themed games, and races and activities.  Bonus! The fall colours are at their peak, so bring your camera to capture the fun! Sunday 12:30-4. 4. St Catharines: Peter Pan at First Ontario PAC. Pirates. Lost Boys. A ticking crocodile. J. M. Barrie’s classic story about the boy who would never grow up is brought to life in this lively musical reimagining for kids and kids-at-heart. Stripped down to bare bones, performed by an award-winning ensemble of actors with fresh direction and a stunning, folksy, lively musical score, this production is unlike any Peter Pan you’ve seen before. Hamilton: Rumours of Fleetwood Mac.  The world’s finest tribute to Fleetwood Mac comes to North America for the very first time in 2018 with a brand new show celebrating 40 years of the iconic Rumours album.
