The Coal Miner’s Daughter Just Keeps Ticking

Loretta Lynn’s stroke did not take away any of her feistiness. She tells says in an interview that she told her physical therapist shortly after her stroke last year that she did not want help and the next time she checked in, she’d be using her arm and hand again. She says her therapist could not believe it when she actually made it happen.

Then, as the beloved singer was starting to get better, she fell and broke her hip on New Year’s Day. Lynn says many people thought that would be it for her, but she says, “I’m moving all my parts and I can still sing.” She says her mind sometimes gets fuzzy, and she uses a walker and sometimes a wheelchair, but she “hates the wheelchair”.

The 86 year old just released an album called “Wouldn’t It Be Great.”
