If you’re looking to get in the Christmas spirit or help yourself to a little holiday lighting inspiration there are a few locations around that you could take in this season. In fact there are more than a few! No matter where you are its not a long drive to get to some fantastic Christmas lights this year.
For example there is Glenhyrst Gardens which transformed itself a few weeks ago and now offers a nightly spectacle of lights from 6pm to 9pm, running all the way until January 1st. Donations are welcome.
There is also the Simcoe Christmas Panorama: River of Lights, which sees thousands of lights and themed displays turn the Simcoe parks into a stroll worth taking, or there are horse drawn trolleys available. The lights are on every night from 5:30pm until 11pm and its free to see.

If you find yourself in the Waterloo Region you could always stop to enjoy the Wonders of Winter in Waterloo Park! Plenty to see as you take a walk through the park with over 100 displays and 100,000 lights to light up your night. This park lights up between 5:30pm and 10:30pm every night until the big finale on New Years Eve.
Now if you want to take a bit of a drive you could head toward the falls and see their famous display; The Winter Festival Of Lights by Ontario Power Generation. Join one million visitors from around the globe to see the over two million lights displayed along the Niagara parkway, Dufferin Islands and throughout Niagara Falls. Running 5pm to Midnight every night until January 31st with free admission and donations accepted.
