Got out to the Brantford Ribfest last night, wasn’t sure we wanted to go considering the crowds and that the food can feel a little pricey at times, extremely glad we went however because it was worth it. Truth is with the beautiful weather and some good company it couldn’t have been a better way to spend the afternoon. Plus when you really think about it, you can feed two adults for $30 or a family can eat for $50 which is pretty reasonable.
There are plenty of food options to choose from, several BBQ greats have shown up to put your taste buds to the test to try to figure out who is best, and then there are the treats, like corn, bloomin’ onions, cotton candy, and so on. It really is some of the best grub you can find for a summer Sunday.
We enjoyed some pulled pork, chicken, and two types of ribs as well as corn bread, beans, and potatoes. Yes it was a tonne of food and I can honestly say I have not had better BBQ in a long time. And they have inflatables for the little and not so little kids, to help them work up an appetite or work off some of what they ate.
There is also music on the stage, a few stalls to pick up some interesting items, and plenty of other fun to find. Brantford Ribfest is open for one more afternoon, Today (Sunday August 13th) from 11 until 7 at Cockshutt Park, 35 Sherwood Drive, West Brant.
