She is 21 years old, from Brampton, and has won more championships in her sport than any North American before her. Her name is Michaela Hinds and she has won 7 times at the World Irish Dancing Championships. The latest in Dublin is also, according to her, her last. And considering her dedication to this sport it is understandable.
Hinds who is currently a college student as well as a championship dancer, would often skip dining out with friends to maintain a diet required to be at the gym every morning at 5:30 and again after classes; workshops on the weekends; and dance classes 3 times a week. It is a schedule that would make veteran Olympians proud and the results speak for themselves.
The above is from 2014, in 2016 she competed and won on a broken foot, her work ethic and dedication showed itself over the course of her dance career and now that she has won in the final dance group she could compete in Michaela has said she will call it a career for competition. She does however plan to stay involved in the world of dance and looks forward to receiving her certificate to teach.
