Australian Town Celebrates Mary Poppins Author In A Unique Way

The city of Maryborough, Australia is honouring Mary Poppins author, PL Travers who was born in Maryborough,  by using a Mary Poppins image for their traffic light “walk” sign.

“It’s fantastic to see the lights installed in time for the Poppins Festival which runs from June 23 to July 2,” the council said. “There is no doubt that they are quirky, and Maryborough does quirky very well.”
