Years ago I embarked on a long journey. Part of that journey’s goals were to get over a fear of heights by Bungee Jumping off a bridge 164′ over the Shotover river in New Zealand. Then I embarked on a diving trip to get over my fear of deep dark water by learning how to dive. Did it work. No and no. Did I enjoy it? You bet!
Here’s a great story about one lady facing her fears. Her name is Lucy and she is 93 years old and her desire was to get over her fear of water by plunging down a waterslide. She did and the smile says it all. See video below.
Inside Edition claims a 93 year-old Temperance, Michigan woman, named Lucy, recently conquered her fear of water by going down a giant water slide at her local YMCA. Lucy’s personal trainers, Ben and Taylor, keep her in shape by exercising with her three times a week. Taylor launched Lucy at the top of the slide before Ben caught her at the bottom. Ben tells the TV show, “I was very nervous when she got to the bottom. But she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face and I couldn’t wipe the smile off mine.”
