24th SAG Awards Tonight

The 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards take place Tonight with the event getting underway at 5pm ET. This year the event has taken note of the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements and the ladies will be taking centre stage with the event being hosted by Kristen Bell and every award being presented by a woman. All 13 statues will be handed to their winners, which are determined by votes cast by their fellow actors, by some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Halle Barry, Lupita Nyong’o, Brie Larson, and Emma Stone.

From the way the Golden Globe’s went it can be expected to be a night filled with speeches on the state of women in Hollywood and around the world and many will be looking to see if someone can capture a moment like Oprah Winfrey did with her speech at that ceremony earlier this month.
